Will applying affect my credit score?

No. We start with a soft credit check, which has zero impact on your credit score. A full credit check only happens once you decide to proceed with a formal application, with your explicit consent.

I've been declined before. Can you still help?

Yes, most of the time. We work with 12+ NZ lenders, and each one underwrites differently. A 'no' from your bank doesn't mean a 'no' across the board. Bruised credit, defaults more than 24 months old, low deposit, self-employed income, these are all things we deal with every week.

I'm self-employed or on contract. Will that be a problem?

Not at all. We have specific lenders on our panel for self-employed, contract, and sole-trader applicants. You'll typically need 3 months of business bank statements or recent invoices. We'll tell you exactly what's required after your initial application.

Is the calculator number what I'll actually pay?

It's indicative, based on 10.15% p.a. over a 48-month term with no deposit. Your actual rate is set once a lender assesses your application: stronger credit means a lower rate, less so means slightly higher. We always send you the exact figures before you commit.

Are there any upfront fees?

No. It costs nothing to apply, get a pre-approval, or see your rate. Lender establishment fees apply only if you proceed with a loan, and we'll always show you the full breakdown before you sign.
