The Car Place is a registered New Zealand motor vehicle trader (MVT Number: M0513150) and finance broker. We sell motor vehicles directly to consumers and arrange finance through a panel of NZ-licensed lenders. We do not provide credit directly. All lending decisions, interest rates, and loan terms are determined by our finance partners, subject to their credit criteria.

We facilitate loan applications but do not guarantee approval. Loan terms, interest rates, and conditions are determined by the finance provider. The Car Place is not responsible for any lender's decision on your application.
We may receive a commission from lenders for successful loan applications. Any applicable brokerage fees will be disclosed before proceeding with your application.
The initial finance application uses a soft credit check only. It does not impact your credit score.
A full credit assessment is only carried out when a full application has been conducted by the finance company.
The Car Place complies with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986. Where these Acts apply to your purchase, your statutory rights are not affected by anything in these Terms.
The Car Place is registered as a motor vehicle trader under the Motor Vehicle Sales Act 2003 (MVT Number: M0513150). We comply with the obligations of that Act in relation to registration, disclosure, and consumer information notices.
By using our services, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for ensuring that all information you provide is accurate and up to date. False or misleading information may result in loan rejection, sale cancellation, or legal consequences.
Our website may contain links to third-party websites, including lender websites, vehicle information services, and insurance providers. We do not endorse or take responsibility for their content, policies, or practices.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by New Zealand law. Any disputes will be resolved in New Zealand courts, in the New Zealand Disputes Tribunal where appropriate, or through the relevant external dispute resolution scheme.
